Protection Technology Officer

Operates and strengthens MONUSCO protection technologies, including C-RAM warning systems, counter-UAS capability, surveillance sensors and command-and-control platforms. The volunteer monitors threats, maintains technical readiness, analyses incidents, supports technology modernization and procurement, and builds staff capacity for security operations in challenging mission environments.

• Manage protection technologies and C-RAM early-warning systems
• Oversee counter-UAS systems and assess aerial threats
• Operate surveillance, radar and perimeter-detection capabilities
• Administer integrated command-and-control platforms and sensor data flows
• Investigate security events and produce risk assessments
• Design training and technical guidance for mission personnel

• Degree in communications engineering, military technology, business information technology, computer science, software engineering, information technology or a related discipline
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience operating, maintaining or managing security technologies
• Experience with surveillance, detection, monitoring or mission-protection systems
