Consultant Security Information Analyst

Manages security-relevant information for UNDSS Security Information and Operations in Nairobi, turning collected incident, media and open-source material into analysis for UN security decisions. The consultant will maintain threat awareness, develop information-sharing networks, brief security leadership and support planning that protects UN personnel, assets and operations in Nairobi.

• Collect and collate security-relevant information from incidents, reports, media and open sources
• Analyze security information to support decisions by the Designated Official and Security Management Team
• Monitor threats affecting United Nations personnel, assets and operations in Nairobi
• Maintain information-sharing networks in line with UN policy and guidelines
• Prepare security analysis and planning inputs for operational use

• Experience in security information analysis and risk assessment
• Ability to collect, analyze and disseminate security information
• Fluency in English
