Job Description

Coordinates WHO regional health-emergency projects, donor engagement and implementation support across South-East Asia and the Western Pacific. The officer develops proposals, workplans, budgets and monitoring tools, convenes technical groups, reports on risks and results, and strengthens country-office capacity for accountable pandemic preparedness, learning and partnership activities.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop proposals for the Pandemic Fund and donor entities
  • Strengthen collaboration with ASEAN and ACPHEED
  • Develop joint projects with multilateral financing entities
  • Coordinate technical working groups and follow up action points
  • Develop workplans, budgets and monitoring templates
  • Prepare project reports and contractual-compliance documents
  • Report programme risks and support mitigation
  • Coordinate evaluation and evidence consolidation

Role Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration, Planning, Project Management or Health or Medical Sciences
  • At least five years of experience in health or development programme management including two years of international exposure
  • Expert knowledge of English

Desired Criteria

  • Training in donor relations, partnerships, report writing, communication, public health or emergencies
  • Master’s degree in business, health care, public health, community health, administration, planning or programme or project management
  • UN experience
