Job Description
The Project Assistant supports UNIDO's agribusiness and infrastructure project in Nairobi. The role coordinates meetings, missions and workshops; assists consultants and project personnel; monitors budgets, disbursements and contracts; processes procurement, travel, recruitment and payments through SAP; prepares reports; and maintains project files, databases and equipment inventories.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Arrange meetings, events, study tours, trainings and workshops
- Provide logistics support to consultants, UNIDO staff and field-level events
- Monitor project disbursements, commitments, budget allocations and expenditures
- Compile data and documents for project and service-provider reports
- Initiate and follow up SAP actions for procurement, travel, recruitment, visas and payments
- Maintain equipment inventories, project files and databases
- Assist onboarding, reporting and ad-hoc research activities
Role Requirements
- Completed higher-secondary education
- At least six years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet
- Fluency in written and spoken English and working knowledge of Swahili
- Kenyan nationality or permanent residence
Desired Criteria
- Administrative or secretarial training
- Experience in United Nations or multicultural office procedures
- Experience in project administration, accounting and finance
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP software
