Job Description

IOM seeks a Programme Support Officer to coordinate project development, donor and institutional reporting, and donor liaison for its El Salvador Country Office. The post oversees monitoring, evaluation, information management and communication functions, supports resource mobilisation, and ensures proposals and reporting meet organisational and donor requirements.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate development and endorsement of concept notes, proposals and budgets
  • Prepare donor reports with quality control, accurate data and timely submission
  • Identify funding opportunities, analyse calls for proposals and develop donor profiles
  • Maintain working relationships with donor counterparts and programme partners
  • Participate in donor and UN coordination meetings and briefings
  • Integrate monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning frameworks into programme design
  • Supervise information-management and communication support staff
  • Maintain project-development and donor-reporting records in IOM systems

Role Requirements

  • Master's degree in International Relations, International Development, Political or Social Sciences, Migration Studies, Law or a related field with two years of relevant professional experience, or bachelor's degree with four years
  • Experience supporting results-based project development and reporting, technical writing and editing
  • Experience in donor relations and grant management
  • Experience with Results-Based Management and strategic planning approaches
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, oral and written
