Job Description

Leads partnership-management support for WFP Tanzania, helping country and field teams build effective agreements with government, UN agencies, NGOs, academia and private-sector partners. The role steers due diligence, agreement governance, capacity building, compliance and reporting so partnerships deliver Country Strategic Plan activities efficiently and with accountable use of resources.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain partnership relationships with NGOs, UN agencies, academia, government agencies and private-sector partners
  • Guide FLA, MoU and LoU development and management from calls for proposals through final partner evaluation
  • Train field offices, units and cooperating partners on UN Partners Portal processes
  • Convene and support partner and technical-evaluation committee meetings
  • Oversee special operating procedures for partnership-agreement management
  • Support timely partner progress reports, invoices and corporate-system processing
  • Participate in compliance spot checks and report findings to management
  • Manage budget revisions, extensions and amendments to existing agreements

Role Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration, Partnership, Project Management, Economics or another relevant field
  • At least 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar position performing medium-complexity analysis
  • Fluency in English and Swahili
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and experience working with partners during project and programme delivery

Desired Criteria

  • Professional training in project management, statistical analysis or operational planning and management
