Job Description

WFP seeks a Programme Policy Officer in Dushanbe to coordinate a KOICA-funded resilience and food-systems project. The officer will manage government and donor engagement, budgets and financial tracking, digital-agriculture delivery, partnership coordination and project reporting. The role will also develop Phase 2 funding proposals and ensure inclusive, secure and sustainable digital solutions support programme implementation in Tajikistan.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate government, KOICA and stakeholder engagement for the project
  • Prepare official correspondence, briefing materials, meeting records and follow-up actions
  • Plan and monitor the project budget, commitments, forecasts and partner payments
  • Coordinate digital-agriculture implementation and technology providers
  • Support data governance, interoperability, information security and institutional handover
  • Develop Phase 2 concept notes, budgets and logical frameworks
  • Support project planning, monitoring, reporting and field coordination
  • Integrate gender, youth, disability, protection and safeguards into implementation

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in international development, development studies, project management, climate change or a related international-development field
  • At least six years of professional experience in international development or programme and project management
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Korean at Level C
  • Experience managing national-level international-development cooperation projects
  • Experience engaging government entities, donors and external partners
  • Experience developing concept notes and funding proposals
  • Experience coordinating with cooperating partners, UN agencies or development organizations
