Job Description

Provides regional technical advice and field support on operational partnerships, assurance systems and capacity strengthening for WFP country offices. The role translates corporate policy into practical, risk-informed solutions, helps offices manage partners and compliance, and strengthens evidence-based programme quality across West, Central African, Latin American and Caribbean operations

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Interpret and support implementation of WFP policies and normative frameworks on NGO partnerships, assurance, localization and programme risk management
  • Advise country offices on partnership and programme-quality issues and develop compliant, risk-informed operational solutions
  • Support planning and management of operational partnerships, including partner selection, capacity assessments and oversight arrangements
  • Follow assurance standards, spot checks and audit follow-up to help offices mitigate operational and fiduciary risks
  • Develop capacity-strengthening initiatives, tools and learning materials for partners and country offices
  • Provide regional support, coordination and technical representation on partnership, assurance and localization matters

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree in international affairs, business administration, social sciences, development studies, or a related field; or an advanced university degree with two additional years of relevant professional experience and/or professional development
  • At least three years of post-graduate, progressively responsible professional experience in development or humanitarian contexts, including at least two years in international field settings
  • Fluent verbal and written English and French (level C)

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in emergency settings
  • Working knowledge of Spanish (level B or above)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Canva or SPSS is an asset
