Parliament and Policy Officer

Leads WFP’s engagement with UK parliamentarians, policy stakeholders and partners from its London office. The consultant develops political and policy analysis, coordinates advocacy and parliamentary engagement, and builds relationships with NGOs, think tanks and institutions. The assignment strengthens support for humanitarian action, food security and global efforts to end hunger.

• Lead engagement with parliamentarians and influential stakeholders
• Monitor UK policy developments and provide strategic advice
• Coordinate parliamentary advocacy, briefings and high-level meetings
• Build relationships with think tanks, civil society, academia and UN partners
• Identify opportunities for policy dialogue and joint initiatives

• University degree in development, business administration, public administration, environment or related field
• At least three years of relevant development, policy or humanitarian-response experience
• Excellent knowledge of UK parliamentary and governmental structures

• Experience working in parliament, government or the UK NGO sector
• Understanding of UK politics and parliament
