Job Description
Supports UNDP's Environment and Climate portfolio by coordinating J-PRISM Phase 3, waste-management and marine-plastic initiatives in Papua New Guinea. The assignment connects national and local stakeholders, strengthens waste-policy implementation with CEPA, and improves programme planning, monitoring, reporting, knowledge management and resource mobilisation.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate J-PRISM Phase 3 activities with participating cities and stakeholders
- Support waste-management and marine-plastic interventions
- Help CEPA operationalise the national waste management policy
- Monitor portfolio workplans, budgets, outputs and delivery targets
- Prepare programme documents, progress reports and donor updates
- Organise meetings, workshops and stakeholder consultations
- Document lessons and good practices for replication and scaling
- Develop concept notes, project documents and funding proposals
Role Requirements
- 3 years of relevant environmental management or waste management experience
- Environmental programme implementation experience
- Stakeholder coordination and government engagement experience
- Knowledge of 3R approaches
- Knowledge of integrated waste management systems
- Analytical skills
- Reporting skills
- Coordination skills
Desired Criteria
- Programme support and portfolio coordination experience
- Familiarity with UNDP programme cycles
