Job Description
Supports UNICEF Nigeria to embed child-sensitive climate action across programmes through climate-risk analysis, coordination and evidence generation. The role works with government, partners and young people to advance resilient services, climate finance and policy engagement while tracking results, documenting lessons and strengthening climate-programme learning.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Integrate climate adaptation, mitigation and resilience considerations into UNICEF-supported programmes
- Support government and partners to apply climate-risk-informed and child-sensitive planning approaches
- Develop tools and guidance for climate-risk analysis and resilience measures
- Support implementation of the Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Action Plan
- Contribute to climate-finance engagement and policy dialogue with government and partners
- Develop research tools, technical briefs and knowledge products on climate risks and resilience
- Track climate-programme indicators and support reporting, field monitoring and documentation
Role Requirements
- Three to five years of relevant experience in climate change, climate finance, policy, coordination, youth engagement or knowledge management
- Experience working with government institutions, UN agencies, development partners, civil society, youth networks or community organisations
- Strong analytical, research and documentation skills
- Competence in data analysis, monitoring and reporting
