Programme Management Officer

Leads UNAMA’s Mine Action Section in Kabul, directing programme planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation to address explosive-ordnance threats. The officer coordinates policy, partners and government engagement, manages mine-action performance and resources, advances risk mitigation and capacity building, and mobilises support for humanitarian, development and recovery priorit.

• Analyse mine-action information and advise responses to explosive-ordnance threats
• Coordinate mitigation measures with the UN Country Team
• Develop policy and assess programme performance and partner delivery
• Lead programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation
• Engage government officials and humanitarian partners
• Mobilise resources and build national mine-action capacity

• Advanced university degree in a relevant field
• At least seven years of progressively responsible programme-management experience
• Mine-action field-programme management experience
• Senior-government engagement in humanitarian or conflict settings
• Resource mobilisation or fundraising experience
• English proficiency

• Prior work experience in Afghanistan
