Job Description

Leads learning and development projects for the UN Secretariat, combining programme management, training design and organisational change support. The role develops learning strategies, analyses needs data, convenes workshops and consultative meetings, and coordinates L&D platforms, budgets and client follow-up to strengthen knowledge sharing across Department of Operational Support entities.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, maintain and scale learning and development project delivery
  • Plan and facilitate client workshops and interactive sessions to develop change-management action plans
  • Research and analyse learning and development needs gathered from diverse sources
  • Design data-collection tools for UN Campus surveys and interpret findings
  • Prepare strategy documents, trend analyses, reports, meeting documents and presentations
  • Conduct training workshops, seminars and outreach activities on assigned topics
  • Coordinate learning and development budgets, funding submissions, progress reports and financial statements
  • Work with OICT on maintenance and expansion of learning and development platforms

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in business administration, management, human resources, economics or a related field, or a first-level degree with relevant work experience in lieu of an advanced degree
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration, learning and development or a related area
  • Experience designing training programmes with an e-learning component
  • Experience conducting training or learning-needs assessments
  • Experience working in a learning and development capacity for an international organisation
  • English at UN Level II in reading, writing, listening and speaking

Desired Criteria

  • Experience conducting Train the Trainer programmes
