Job Description

UNOPS seeks a Programme Management Office Specialist in Bangkok to support the EAPMCO Project Management Office. The role strengthens governance frameworks; plans budgets and resources; manages project setup, closure and reporting; tracks performance, risks and milestones; assures quality and compliance; supports personnel management; and delivers project-management learning and knowledge sharing.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight, advice and direction on project and programme management activities
  • Develop and revise project budgets, staffing plans and resource-tracking systems
  • Prepare integrated project plans, manage dependencies and support project closure
  • Prepare project reports, assess performance and maintain monitoring and evaluation systems
  • Ensure compliance with UNOPS standards, policies and audit requirements
  • Support project-management training, knowledge sharing and Communities of Practice

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 5 years, or technical/professional diploma with 9 additional years
  • Relevant experience in project management or related areas
  • Proficiency with collaboration and productivity tools and web-based management systems
  • Fluent English

Desired Criteria

  • Project-management professional certificate or membership is desired
  • Experience in multicultural environments or UN organizations in a developing country is desired
  • Experience in development or humanitarian contexts is desired
