Job Description

Supports delivery of WFP humanitarian and resilience assistance in Kakuma through programme planning, partner coordination, monitoring and information management. The assistant maintains accountable records, identifies risks and operational feedback, prepares field and donor updates, supports community engagement and response activities, and contributes to workplans, budgets and assessments.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support planning and timely delivery of humanitarian and resilience programmes
  • Assist partnerships with government, partners and project participants
  • Maintain programme records for food, assets and project participants
  • Conduct programme monitoring and cooperating-partner oversight
  • Gather operational feedback and support follow-up on implementation risks
  • Prepare programme updates, field-mission notes and donor-report inputs
  • Support emergency preparedness, anticipatory action and response activities
  • Support community feedback mechanisms and document referrals and issue closure

Role Requirements

  • Diploma in monitoring, statistics, project management, community development, development studies, business management or a related field
  • At least four years of progressively responsible work experience
  • At least one year of information-systems management, project monitoring and evaluation, data collection and analysis and report writing experience
  • Fluency in oral and written English

Desired Criteria

  • Degree in monitoring and evaluation, statistics, project management, community development, development studies or business management
  • Experience with private-sector stakeholders
  • Experience facilitating communication with technical teams
  • Experience contributing to programme implementation
