Procurement Associate

Provides procurement and contract-administration support for UNOPS programmes in Brasília, ensuring compliant, timely and sustainable purchasing. The associate manages requisitions, supplier records, tender documentation, purchase orders and contract files, advises projects on sourcing, follows delivery and procurement progress, and contributes to procurement training and knowledge sharing.

• Embed sustainability in approved procurement processes
• Prepare complete submissions to Contract and Property Committees
• Process purchase orders, contracts and long-term agreements and maintain supporting documentation
• Conduct market research and maintain local supplier and procurement databases
• Support procurement planning, requisition review and sourcing proposals for projects
• Prepare specifications and tender documents for goods, works and services
• Follow vendors and consignees through safe delivery and resolve post-order issues
• Organise tender evaluations and maintain committee and contract records

• Secondary school with six years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Law, Commerce, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Economics or related fields with two years
• Experience advising on and implementing procurement policies and procedures for complex programmes and strategies in international or multinational organisations
• Fluent Portuguese and intermediate English and Spanish

• Globally or nationally recognised procurement certification or membership such as CIPS
