Job Description
Supports UNRWA procurement and logistics in the Damascus area by maintaining requisition, purchase-order and supplier records, preparing bidding documentation and following deliveries. The role helps ensure accurate and compliant processes for Agency operations, while assisting with contract documentation, quality-control follow-up and the distribution and inspection of materials.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Follow procurement and contracting processes from requirements receipt through bidding preparation
- Maintain correspondence and records for purchase orders, acknowledgements, due dates and deliveries
- Update procurement requisition records and assist with contract documentation
- Initiate quality-control requests and report discrepancies
- Distribute RFQ, tender and RFP documents and follow up outstanding purchase orders and requisitions
- Prepare samples for technical evaluation and maintain related records
- Draft correspondence and maintain accurate procurement records
Role Requirements
- Secondary education plus successful completion of a two-year business course recognised by the Agency
- At least four years of clerical experience in procurement and logistics
- English and Arabic
- Reside in Syria within commuting distance of the duty station and have authorisation to work there at the time of application
Desired Criteria
- First university degree in business management or accounting

Additional Information
- Daily paid assignment for up to three months, with possible extension subject to funds, performance and continuing need
- One day of annual leave and one day of sick leave for each completed month of service
