Practice Engineer - API

Sets API platform standards and architectural coherence for World Economic Forum product teams in Geneva. The Practice Engineer will define paved paths, govern REST, GraphQL and event-driven APIs, coach engineers through reviews and office hours, improve deployment and CI/CD practices, and work with engineering, systems and security teams to build compliant, scalable digital products.

• Author platform craft standards and paved paths for product teams
• Own API design, documentation, versioning and deprecation standards
• Maintain API gateway setup and service catalogue
• Resolve cross-cutting technical debt across product streams
• Run technical office hours, demos and RFC reviews
• Own deployment processes and CI/CD tooling with systems and security teams

• University education in computer science, engineering or a related technical field
• At least 8 years of industry experience with API management and products at scale
• Deep expertise in API design and governance
• Strong command of Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails or Go
• Fluency in English
