Summary of Responsibilities
- Analyse information on conflict-related sexual violence from diverse sources
- Monitor political developments and advise field missions on their impact
- Develop and roll out training and guidance for the DPO mandate
- Draft analysis, reports, studies and lessons learned
- Coordinate with UN partners, international organisations and governments
- Support evaluations and technical assistance missions
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in political science, international relations, international economics, law, public administration or a related field
- At least five years of relevant professional experience
- At least two years leading or coordinating prevention and response to conflict-related sexual violence
- Experience developing training and guidance on conflict-related sexual violence
- At least two years of international experience in women, peace and security or conflict-related sexual violence
- English at UN Level III
Desired Criteria
- Field experience with UN peacekeeping, political missions or international organisations
