Job Description
Monitors political and humanitarian developments in the Middle East and provides research, drafting and meeting support to the Middle East Division. The internship contributes analysis and materials on peace, security and development for division leadership, special political missions and UN country teams.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Monitor political, socio-economic and humanitarian developments in the Middle East
- Research policy issues at the nexus of peace, security and development
- Draft notes, background papers, talking points and speeches for division leadership
- Participate in consultations and record meeting proceedings
- Support meetings convened by the Middle East Division
- Support special political missions and UN country teams in non-mission settings
Role Requirements
- Be enrolled in or have completed a graduate programme, or be in the final year of or have completed a bachelor's programme
- Computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- English is required
