Job Description

Provides leadership for results-based planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting for UNFPA Kenya’s Country Programme. The analyst strengthens frameworks, workplans, data quality and knowledge management across development work, turns programme evidence into reports and visual products, and helps partners and the Country Office use evaluation findings to improve decisions and delivery.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks, theories of change and annual and multi-year results plans
  • Support quality assurance of implementing and strategic partner workplans and field-monitoring plans
  • Track Country Programme results, workplan implementation and recommendations from monitoring visits
  • Collect and analyse indicator data and oversee regular data-quality checks
  • Prepare programme, humanitarian-response, partner and donor reports for internal and external audiences
  • Develop result briefs, newsletters, stories, infographics, dashboards and story maps
  • Implement the UNFPA Evaluation Policy and monitor the country evaluation plan
  • Strengthen implementing-partner capacity in results-based management and maintain internal information systems

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree in statistics, development studies, economics, public health, population studies, demography or a related social science discipline
  • Experience in results-based management, planning, monitoring, reporting, evaluation and information or knowledge management in development or humanitarian settings
  • Good knowledge of monitoring and evaluation, evaluation design, data collection, analysis and reporting
  • Fluency in English
