Job Description
The Pharmacist supports WHO's Health Emergencies Programme in Sudan by managing the procurement, storage and distribution of medicines and medical products. The role safeguards pharmaceutical quality and supply continuity, assesses needs, supports emergency procurement and customs processes, and trains health staff and partners on medicines policy and supply-chain practices.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement, import, storage and delivery of medicines and medical products
- Manage warehouse inventory, storage conditions, cold-chain controls and stock rotation in line with WHO guidelines
- Assess pharmaceutical needs and forecast essential-medicine requirements for contingency planning
- Train health-care staff and partners on medicines policy, rational use, dispensing and supply-chain management
- Support local and international procurement and identify potential local suppliers
- Facilitate customs clearance and quality control with government institutions
- Monitor medicine pipelines and distribution to improve access and minimize stock-outs
Role Requirements
- First-level university degree in pharmacy or health logistics and supply chain
- At least one year of experience in national drug-policy programmes and administration
- Expert knowledge of English
- Expert knowledge of Arabic
- Only applications from nationals of the country where the duty station is located will be accepted
Desired Criteria
- Degree in public health or clinical pharmacy
- Experience in public health or emergency management
- Experience with UN organizations, international institutions or NGOs
