Supports OHCHR’s Technical Mission in Peru by monitoring priority legislative activity, analysing the alignment of domestic law with international human rights standards, documenting potential violations and providing research that advances the mission’s protection and advocacy work.

• Monitor the legislative agenda on human rights priorities
• Prepare analysis supporting alignment of domestic legislation with international human rights law
• Document cases that may constitute human rights violations
• Support other tasks required to advance the mission’s human rights objectives

• Master’s student or recent graduate, or bachelor’s student or final-year graduate, in law, international relations, political science or another social science
• Knowledge of international human rights law
• Knowledge of the functioning of the Peruvian legislature
• Legal research, analysis and synthesis capability with excellent written accuracy
• Fluent written and spoken Spanish
