Job Description
UNICEF Ethiopia is recruiting a Partnerships Specialist to expand collaboration, resource mobilization and policy influence. The post scans the external environment, builds relationships with governments, development institutions, foundations and civil society, and develops partnership plans. It provides strategic support to senior management, shaping communications and outreach that strengthen UNICEF’s visibility and mission in Ethiopia.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Implement the assigned work plan in line with UNICEF's partnership strategy
- Identify and promote new partnerships and resource-mobilization agreements
- Scan the external environment for partnership opportunities and risks
- Build and maintain knowledge of current and prospective partners and stakeholders
- Develop annual partnership engagement and resource-mobilization plans
- Support high-level outreach, policy influence and communications products
Role Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent advanced university degree in communications, international development, political science, communication science, international relations or a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in partnerships, communication, resource mobilization, external relations, stakeholder engagement, donor relations, government relations, policy advocacy, strategic communications, corporate engagement or international development
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience in emergency settings
- Relevant country-level experience, particularly in development, fragile settings or humanitarian contexts
