Job Description

The United Nations Development Coordination Office in Pristina seeks a Partnerships Officer to strengthen Kosovo UN Team partnerships and resource mobilisation for the Sustainable Development Goals. The role develops partnership strategies, coordinates donors, supports funding frameworks and joint programmes, and promotes knowledge sharing, innovative financing and SDG collaboration.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support strategic planning and coordination of UN Kosovo Team partnerships with government, development partners, civil society and the private sector
  • Monitor implementation of the resource-mobilisation and partnership strategy and support relevant working groups
  • Develop value propositions and partnership opportunities for stakeholders supporting the UN Kosovo Team Strategic Plan
  • Build structured relations with development partners and advise on partnership risks and opportunities
  • Support resource-mobilisation strategies, funding-stream analysis, proposals and the Strategic Plan Funding Framework
  • Support joint programme design and partnership strategies for financing Sustainable Development Goals
  • Research and share best practices, lessons learned and knowledge on partnerships and resource mobilisation

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in business or public administration, sustainable development, social sciences, education or a related area; a first-level degree with two additional years may be accepted
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in partnerships, project or programme management, or resource mobilisation in development cooperation
  • Experience developing strategic partnerships across government, private sector and civil society organisations
  • Experience developing and implementing resource-mobilisation strategies
  • Experience preparing or evaluating project or programme proposals
  • English and Albanian are required
  • Open to nationals of Kosovo only

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with inclusion strategies for gender equality, youth participation and persons with disabilities
  • Experience in UN interagency coordination
  • Experience promoting knowledge management in development cooperation
  • Experience with food systems, digital transformation, jobs and social protection, energy, climate action or public-private partnerships
  • Experience supporting SDG financing
  • Experience in data analytics
