Job Description
Advises the Resident Coordinator and United Nations Country Team on strategic partnerships for Sustainable Development Goal achievement. The role develops partnership and resource-mobilisation approaches, engages government, private-sector and civil-society partners, supports Cooperation Framework financing, strengthening knowledge and capacity for inclusive development collaboration.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Advise on development and implementation of the United Nations Partnership Strategy
- Coordinate engagement with United Nations entities and external partners to define local partnership value propositions
- Support due diligence and risk mitigation for investment and partnership opportunities
- Develop locally tailored resource-mobilisation strategies for Cooperation Framework priorities
- Analyse funding streams and support preparation of Cooperation Framework funding arrangements
- Support joint programme design and resource mobilisation
- Advise on partnership opportunities that advance financing for development
- Research partnership practices and maintain knowledge on potential national and subnational donors
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in business or public administration, sustainable development, social sciences, education or a related area; a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in strategic partnerships, project or programme management, or resource mobilisation in development cooperation
- Experience developing strategic partnerships across government, private sector and civil society
- Experience designing and implementing partnerships
- Experience developing resource-mobilisation strategies
- Experience preparing project or programme proposals
- English
- Belize nationality
Desired Criteria
- Experience with inclusion strategies for gender equality, youth participation and persons with disabilities
- Experience in United Nations interagency coordination and Sustainable Development Goal financing
- Applied partnerships experience in food systems, digital transformation, jobs and social protection, energy, climate action or public-private partnerships
- Experience in data analytics or a related area
- Completion of degree or non-degree programmes in data analytics, business analytics or data science
