Job Description
The UN Resident Coordinator Office in Iraq seeks a Partnerships Officer to coordinate strategic partnerships for Sustainable Development Goal achievement. The role advises the Resident Coordinator and UN Country Team on government engagement, resource mobilization and pooled funds, partnership financing and knowledge management, including dialogue with Iraqi institutions and development partners.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Advise on implementation of the UN Partnership Strategy
- Coordinate partnerships with Iraq's government, development actors, civil society and private sector
- Build relationships with senior government officials and national institutions
- Prepare and coordinate high-level engagements involving Iraqi government officials
- Develop locally tailored resource-mobilization strategies and analyze donor relationships
- Support funding frameworks, joint programmes and pooled-fund management
- Advise on financing options for Sustainable Development Goal acceleration
- Research partnership practices and maintain national donor knowledge resources
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in business or public administration, sustainable development, social sciences, education or related area; first-level degree route requires two additional years
- At least five years of progressively responsible experience in strategic partnerships, programme management or resource mobilization in development cooperation
- Experience developing strategic partnerships in Iraq across government, development organizations and civil society
- Experience designing and implementing partnerships in development programming
- Experience in resource-mobilization strategies
- Experience preparing project or programme proposals
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Open to nationals of Iraq only
