Operations Specialist

Leads UNICEF operational functions for the Ebola response across Isiro and Butembo, ensuring agile, risk-informed systems for supplies, personnel deployment and programme continuity. The specialist advises the Ebola Coordination team on governance, resource optimisation and operational risk while strengthening financial management, internal controls, partnerships and emergency-response procedures.

• Develop people resources to foster technical competence, career progression and retention of an agile workforce
• Champion strategic resources to achieve organisational goals and ensure value for money
• Enhance risk management to increase organisational performance and strengthen internal control
• Optimise operational systems and structures to maximise efficiency gains
• Strengthen internal and external partnerships and leverage financial-management oversight across the office

• Advanced university degree in business management, financial management, accounting or public finance, or a recognised professional accounting designation
• At least five years of professional experience at national or international level
• Fluency in French and intermediate English
