Job Description

Supports FAO Angola's project portfolio through programme-cycle coordination, budget planning, delivery monitoring and donor financial reporting. The role helps teams manage controls from expenditure reviews to project closure, HR planning and supplier oversight, supplying practical analysis and guidance that keeps implementation aligned with FAO procedures, donor requirements and budgets.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Contribute to programme and project development, implementation and evaluation activities
  • Conduct programme budget planning and monitor budgets and project financial statements
  • Review documents and reports, identify issues and propose corrective action and follow-up
  • Coordinate actions for timely field-project completion and closure
  • Validate the annual FAO operational plan against its logical framework and budget
  • Prepare donor financial reports and guidance on budget codes and expenditure plans
  • Prepare country-office human-resources planning and quarterly statements
  • Review local travel authorizations and expense claims in GRMS for accuracy and compliance

Role Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree or a bachelor's degree with relevant experience in operations, finance, accounting, economics, development, project management, international development, agriculture or a related field
  • Minimum three years' experience in operations and budget monitoring
  • Working knowledge of English and Portuguese
  • National of Angola
