Job Description
Leads FAO’s country programme and office in Togo, representing the organization to government, partners and United Nations Country Team. The Representative directs country strategy, resource mobilization, emergency preparedness and programme delivery, while managing staff, budgets, operations, risk controls and FAO’s contribution to sustainable food systems and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Represent FAO to national authorities, partners and stakeholders
- Lead food-security, agriculture-policy and emergency-response coordination
- Develop the Country Programming Framework and Country Work Plan
- Lead country analysis and FAO contributions to UN planning frameworks
- Build partnerships with government, donors, civil society and international organizations
- Mobilize extrabudgetary resources for country priorities
- Oversee programme delivery, budgets, monitoring and reporting
- Manage the Country Office, personnel, security and financial resources
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in agriculture, forestry, fishery, rural development or a related field
- At least 10 years of field-programme planning, formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation experience
- Working knowledge of English and French
Desired Criteria
- Work experience in more than one location or field position
- Experience developing and managing country field programmes
- Experience negotiating with governments and international institutions
