Operations Airport Assistant

Support IOM's Migrant Protection and Assistance Unit in Brussels with Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration operations. The assistant manages applications and pre-departure arrangements, coordinates travel documentation and airport assistance, keeps financial records and supports reporting so migrants can depart, transit and arrive safely and efficiently.

• Receive and register incoming AVRR applications and dispatch them to the correct focal points
• Coordinate pre-departure formalities, travel documents, departure packages and arrangements with referral partners and missions
• Compile project statistics, verify data and support donor reports
• Arrange flight bookings in line with IOM rules and systems
• Provide migrants with departure, transit and arrival assistance at Brussels Airport
• Record financial transactions and report expenditures to the Finance unit
• Report airport-duty issues and draft incident reports

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, business management or a related field with two years of relevant professional experience, or a high school diploma with four years
• Experience in Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration
• Experience in IOM Movement Operations
• Fluency in English and French or Dutch, orally and in writing
• Valid EU category B driving licence and ability to drive a manual vehicle
