Job Description
Provides safe transport and practical office support for FAO's Subregional Office for the Pacific Islands. The driver carries staff and visitors, maintains vehicles and trip records, supports airport and local formalities, and helps procurement, finance and HR administration so the office can reliably serve regional food security and rural development priorities.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Drive office staff and official visitors on authorized trips while following road-safety, UNDSS and FAO guidance
- Meet staff and visitors at the airport and facilitate immigration, customs, hotel and local formalities
- Log official trips, mileage, fuel use, transport expenses, servicing and repairs
- Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks, minor repairs and arrange further repairs to keep vehicles safe
- Handle required local and organisational procedures after accidents
- Collect and deliver mail, documents, pouches and other items to offices, agencies and project sites
- Support daily procurement, finance and HR administrative tasks
- Assist with clerical duties, air-conditioning checks and generator checks
Role Requirements
- High school diploma
- 3 years of relevant driving experience
- Working knowledge of English and Samoan
- National of Samoa
- Valid driver's license
Desired Criteria
- Experience working in an international organization in Apia
- Experience driving officials
- Familiarity with Corporate Environmental Responsibility
