Job Description

Provides operational coordination for UNFPA’s Office of the Executive Director across finance, procurement, travel, ICT, assets, logistics and leadership events. The analyst tracks budgets, financial and procurement actions, office operations, enterprise-risk and corporate processes through documentation, management information, action tracking and follow-up with units and service providers.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate OED operational requirements across procurement, travel, ICT, assets and logistics
  • Monitor operational requests, documentation, clearances, timelines and follow-up actions
  • Support budget preparation, expenditure monitoring, financial reviews and forecasting
  • Coordinate procurement planning, contracting documentation and procurement-action tracking
  • Arrange travel, missions, events and logistical requirements for senior leadership
  • Maintain asset information and coordinate ICT access, equipment and office operations
  • Support enterprise-risk processes, management documentation and action tracking

Role Requirements

  • Advanced degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, public administration, management, international development or a related field
  • At least one year of professional experience in financial analysis, budget analysis, risk analysis, business analysis or management reporting
  • Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, internal controls and risk-management principles
  • Fluency in English

Desired Criteria

  • Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning systems and financial or management data
  • Proficiency in data-analysis and visualisation tools, advanced spreadsheets and business-intelligence tools
  • Familiarity with the United Nations system or another international organisation
  • Knowledge of other official UN languages
