Leads technical and operational support for nutrition programming in Sri Lanka, helping to improve maternal, infant, young-child and adolescent nutrition outcomes. Summary of Responsibilities
- Support nutrition programme development and planning
- Manage programmes, monitor progress and deliver results
- Provide technical and operational support to programme implementation
- Build networks and partnerships
- Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity building
- Support policy development and sustainable health and nutrition service delivery
- Use surveys, assessments and evaluations to inform programme design and resource allocation
- Coordinate stakeholders to advance nutrition outcomes
Role Requirements
- Master's degree in nutrition, public health, nutritional epidemiology, global health and nutrition, health research, policy or management, health sciences or a related health science field
- At least five years of professional experience in a developing country in nutrition, public health, nutrition planning and management, or maternal, infant and child health and nutrition care
- Experience in programme design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation for nutrition programmes
- Fluent English
- Sri Lankan nationals only
Desired Criteria
- Experience leading nutrition or public-health programmes, particularly in maternal, infant, young-child and adolescent nutrition
- Experience strengthening health and nutrition systems, policies, strategies and service-delivery platforms
- Experience using assessments, surveys, evaluations and information systems for programme and policy decisions
- Experience with UN agencies, international organisations or development partners
- Experience in emergency preparedness, humanitarian response or resilience building
- Knowledge of Sri Lanka's health, nutrition and social-sector systems and policy environment
