Job Description

Provide operational support to IOM Venezuela's Procurement and Logistics Unit in Caracas. The National Supply Chain Officer will plan and oversee procurement and contractual processes, guide requisitioning units, manage tenders, inspect supplies, monitor inventory and fixed assets, maintain procurement records, and support service agreements, warehouse management and staff supervision in line with IOM rules and local market conditions.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Plan procurement and contractual activities for project goods and services
  • Guide units on procurement procedures and available options
  • Organise tenders and competitive bidding processes
  • Coordinate inspections, receipts and asset-management procedures
  • Maintain procurement records, service agreements and fixed-asset registers
  • Train and supervise unit staff

Role Requirements

  • Master's degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance, international business or a related field, or bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience
  • Fluency in English and Spanish

  • Experience with humanitarian, government or non-government organisations
  • Experience supporting results-based projects
  • Experience working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
