Job Description
IOM is recruiting a National Legal Officer to coordinate contribution agreements, legal templates, contractor documentation and diplomatic correspondence in Bogotá. The post supports legally compliant procurement, partnership and construction processes, tracks referrals and clearances with LEG, manages legal records and documentation, and provides day-to-day guidance to the Legal Unit Assistant.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate processing of contribution agreements and related documentation
- Track legal templates and agreements requiring LEG review and clearance
- Review procurement and implementing-partner documentation for compliance
- Prepare legal correspondence, diplomatic communications and Note Verbales
- Coordinate individual-contractor documentation and clearance processes
- Compile background information and supporting documentation for legal matters
- Support legal processing for partnerships, construction projects and records management
- Provide day-to-day guidance to the Legal Unit Assistant
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law or a related field with two years of relevant professional experience or Master’s degree
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Experience supporting legal and contractual processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Desired Criteria
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian, non-governmental or government institutions in a multicultural setting
- Working knowledge of French
