Job Description

Provides national-level coordination and implementation support for Rwanda’s 7th Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit. The independent consultant maintains planning and coordination tools, supports meetings and stakeholder communication, tracks actions and risks, and prepares operational documentation before, during and after the March 2027 event under WHO Rwanda supervision.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Prepare the inception note and initial workplan
  • Maintain rolling workplans, action trackers, contact lists and risk logs
  • Prepare monthly activity reports and coordination meeting records
  • Consolidate trackers for stakeholders, participants, speakers and logistics
  • Provide readiness updates and on-site coordination support during the Summit
  • Prepare the final handover package and operational lessons note

Role Requirements

  • University degree in public health, international relations, event management, project management, social sciences, health systems, mental health, development studies, business administration or a related field
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience in coordination, conference organisation, public health programme support, government liaison or international events
  • Experience developing workplans, trackers, meeting notes, reports, logistics checklists and operational tools
  • Excellent written and spoken English

Desired Criteria

  • Advanced degree in public health, global health, mental health, project management or international development
  • Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder processes
  • Experience supporting high-level meetings or official events
  • Familiarity with health or mental-health processes
