Job Description
This online volunteer mentor helps UNFPA Burundi interns build practical familiarity with humanitarian coordination and gender-based-violence response. The role supports community awareness, case-data analysis and referral, humanitarian reporting, resource mobilization, activity logistics, coordination forums and capacity-building workshops on minimum standards for emergency GBV care.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support awareness, prevention and gender-based-violence response activities in affected and targeted communities
- Contribute to collecting, entering and analysing data on gender-based-violence cases and referrals
- Help prepare monthly, narrative and emergency reports on humanitarian and protection or gender-based-violence response
- Support resource mobilization for humanitarian emergency and gender-based-violence projects
- Contribute to logistical and administrative preparation of workshops, training sessions and campaigns
- Participate in inter-agency, Gender-Based Violence Sub-Cluster and Protection Cluster coordination meetings and follow recommendations
- Help prepare and facilitate capacity-building workshops on minimum standards for emergency gender-based-violence care
Role Requirements
- Master/BAC level from a recognized university or education programme in humanitarian studies, gender or a related field
- Fluent written and spoken French, English and Kirundi
- Basic administration and project-management knowledge
- Computer knowledge including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and social media
