Logistics Officer (Contracting)New

Supports WFP Yemen's logistics-contracting operations by analysing transport markets, managing requests for quotation, assessing service providers and preparing contracting decisions. The officer maintains committee reporting, allocation planning and provider performance oversight, while coordinating with logistics teams to secure compliant, timely services for food-assistance delivery.

• Support day-to-day logistics-contracting activities and issue requests for quotation to shortlisted companies
• Analyse transport-sector data and logistics-service markets to recommend contracting improvements
• Verify submitted data through visits to transporters and logistics service providers
• Conduct due diligence on existing and prospective logistics service providers
• Prepare contracting proposals, committee minutes and quarterly supply-chain reports
• Monitor provider performance, tariffs, allocation plans and capacity commitments and escalate corrective actions

• Advanced university degree in transport economics, supply chain, logistics, engineering, business management or a related field, or first university degree with additional related experience and training
• Five years of relevant experience including one year of professional experience
• English and Arabic
