Leads WFP Logistics Cluster field operations in Bor, South Sudan, coordinating river, road and air transport, storage and emergency logistics for humanitarian partners. The consultant represents the cluster in state forums, manages staff and partner capacity, assesses operational gaps and risks, and aligns multimodal supply-chain plans so critical relief cargo reaches affected communities safely and on time.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate river transport for humanitarian cargo
- Lead road-convoy planning, security liaison and scheduling
- Manage air transport with UNHAS and partners
- Oversee common-storage facilities and warehouse procedures
- Represent the Logistics Cluster in state-level coordination forums
- Guide partners and national staff on logistics procedures
- Coordinate port and river operations and delivery schedules
- Assess logistics capacity and lead emergency-response planning
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in transport economics, supply chain, logistics, engineering, business management or a related field, or a first degree with additional related experience and training
- At least five years leading or managing logistics-cluster operations or humanitarian-logistics coordination in emergency and conflict settings with a master's degree, or seven years with a bachelor's degree
- Experience in insecure and hard-to-reach environments
- Experience coordinating with United Nations agencies, NGOs and government counterparts
- Fluency in written and spoken English
