Job Description

Provides field-office logistics support for WFP’s food and cash assistance operations across Lakes State, helping move commodities and maintain accountable supply systems for vulnerable communities. The assistant coordinates warehouse, delivery, retailer and last-mile processes; reconciles operational records; and supports partners to use corporate systems accurately, securely and on time.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support field-office logistics operations to enable timely delivery of food and cash assistance
  • Coordinate deliveries from ports and warehouses to final distribution points and maintain food-movement documentation
  • Reconcile warehouse physical stock with system records and capture receipts and dispatches in real time
  • Verify Food Release Notes, update the tracker and link transfer documents to the correct activity and consignee
  • Support retailer onboarding, contract renewal, performance management and cash-based-transfer invoice verification
  • Monitor retailer supply and storage conditions to meet beneficiary demand and food-storage standards
  • Monitor last-mile dashboards and work with cooperating partners to scan waybills and resolve technical queries
  • Ensure losses, transfer orders and inventory records are posted and reconciled accurately in corporate systems

Role Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school education
  • At least five years of post-secondary experience in humanitarian logistics or supply-chain operations
  • Experience using supply-chain information systems to maintain data, query ongoing shipments and manage pipeline and food-stock information

Desired Criteria

  • Experience executing contracts and administering third-party service-provider contracts
  • Experience in retailer management, coordination, vendor or contract support and reporting
  • Knowledge of river logistics and cash-based-transfer supply-chain operations
