Job Description
Provides procurement, logistics and administrative support to UNRWA's Field Office West Bank. The assistant manages purchase-request and contract records, tracks tenders and purchase orders, coordinates the section's information flow and executive schedule, and maintains accurate reports and documentation so procurement activities proceed on time and the section can respond efficiently to operational needs.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Manage section documents and enable staff access, tracking and retrieval
- Receive, verify, record and distribute purchase requests
- Monitor purchase requests against the procurement plan and resolve discrepancies
- Record contract proposals and purchase orders in tracking systems
- Prepare outstanding-request, tender and RFQ status reports
- Manage the supervisor's schedule, meetings, minutes and follow-up actions
- Compile files, exchange information with organizations and perform assigned administrative duties
Role Requirements
- Completion of secondary education plus a two-year business course recognized by UNRWA
- At least four years of clerical experience in procurement and logistics
- English at UN Level II in reading, writing, listening and speaking
- Must reside in West Bank or Jerusalem, within commuting distance, and be authorized to work at the duty station
- Open to internal candidates only

- Fixed-term appointment for one year including one-year probation, with possible extension subject to funds, performance and continuing need
