Manages procurement, logistics and supply-chain support for IFRC operations in Tajikistan while also providing transport and administrative services. The officer sources goods, manages contracts and assets, supports events, maintains vehicles and records, and coordinates travel, protocol and office services.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute national and international procurement processes
  • Source goods and services, analyse bids and prepare purchase recommendations
  • Manage supplier information, framework agreements and procurement contracts
  • Maintain asset, material, distribution and contract-performance records
  • Provide logistics support for meetings, workshops, trainings and publications
  • Drive delegation vehicles and maintain inspections, logs and fleet reports
  • Coordinate travel, accommodation, visa and government registration support
  • Process administrative invoices and reconcile vehicle-fuel expenditures

Role Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant field
  • Three to five years of relevant experience, including at least two years in procurement or logistics
  • Experience supporting local procurement processes and supplier management
  • At least five years of driving experience with a valid international manual-transmission driving licence and clean record
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Tajik

Desired Criteria

  • Relevant technical training or equivalent additional experience
  • Experience with the Red Cross or Red Crescent Movement
  • Experience with humanitarian organisations, development agencies or international organisations
  • Good command of another IFRC official language
