Job Description
Supports WFP’s MENAEE Regional Director’s Office with policy research, stakeholder analysis and strategic briefing for humanitarian diplomacy. The junior consultant monitors regional developments, coordinates evidence-based messages from country offices and headquarters, and helps shape engagement strategies, dialogues and analytical products that strengthen WFP’s regional positioning.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Map regional stakeholders and conduct political-economy analysis of influential actors and processes
- Monitor regional policy, humanitarian, development, UN-reform and international-financial-institution developments
- Prepare briefing materials, talking points and engagement packages for senior-level meetings
- Coordinate country-office and headquarters inputs for coherent external-engagement messaging
- Support regional engagement strategies and stakeholder engagement plans
- Maintain analytical products and knowledge repositories on strategic stakeholders
- Plan regional policy dialogues, roundtables, consultations and analytical events
- Track opportunities for humanitarian diplomacy, advocacy and strategic collaboration
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in International Affairs, Economics, Nutrition or Health, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Social Sciences or a field relevant to international development assistance, or a first university degree
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience drafting briefing materials, talking points, policy analysis and operational updates for senior-level engagement
- Experience supporting senior leadership and coordinating across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Experience engaging government counterparts, legislative bodies, international organisations, civil society or private-sector stakeholders
- Experience translating political and policy developments into actionable recommendations
