Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop national childcare policy guidelines for the care economy
- Benchmark minimum standards against global evidence and Indian experience
- Map existing models and analyse Palna scheme uptake
- Develop childcare financing strategies
- Create an operational blueprint covering infrastructure staffing funding curriculum and engagement
- Support government private-sector and NGO partner engagement
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in economics public policy or closely related field
- Ten to twelve years of progressively responsible experience in care-economy policy design early childhood development or women economic empowerment
- Hindi and English
- Experience producing analytical reports policy briefs or strategy documents for UN agencies governments or major development organizations
- Familiarity with India child-care schemes and key ministries
Desired Criteria
- Experience working with UNICEF or a UN agency in India
- Extensive care-economy experience with early childhood development expertise
