Job Description
Develops and improves UNCTAD's ASYCUDA customs-management system for Liberia, combining backend software delivery with technical support for the Liberian Customs IT team. The assignment produces maintainable modules, features and documentation that strengthen automated trade procedures, reliable data flows and digital customs operations for national customs administration.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop ASYCUDA modules for Liberia
- Develop ASYCUDA features for Liberia
- Provide ASYCUDA IT support to the Liberian Customs IT team
- Write technical documentation for ASYCUDA in Liberia
Role Requirements
- Master's degree with at least 3 years of software-application development experience, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs for microservices using Java and frameworks such as Quarkus and Spring Boot
- Proficiency in front-end development using JavaScript
- English is required
Desired Criteria
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI, Jenkins and Splunk is desirable
- Experience working in an Agile approach and with Agile project-management tools is desirable
