Interpreter

This consultancy provides interpretation and translation support for IOM’s Resettlement Movement Management work in Cox’s Bazar. The Interpreter will deliver consecutive interpretation during interviews and meetings, translate operational communications and knowledge products, and revise outputs in response to feedback so that beneficiaries and teams can communicate clearly and professionally.

• Provide accurate and faithful interpretation during interviews, meetings and discussions
• Deliver high-quality translations of reports, communications and knowledge products
• Revise interpretation and translation deliverables in response to IOM feedback
• Provide consecutive interpretation when required
• Apply standard, accurate and professional language to all translations and interpretations

• High School degree in Social Sciences, Education or a related discipline with two years of experience, or Secondary Education with five years of relevant experience
• Minimum two years of practical experience as an Interpreter
• Excellent command of English, Bengali and Rohingya in oral and written communication

• A third language is an added advantage
