Job Description
Provides Arabic and French interpretation, translation and cultural mediation for IOM’s HELIOS+ integration project in the South Aegean. The role builds trusted relationships with beneficiaries, responds to helpline enquiries, identifies access barriers and supports project teams in connecting people with services, authorities and humanitarian partners throughout their integration journey.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Build respectful, trusting relationships with beneficiaries
- Provide interpretation and cultural mediation for project activities
- Respond to helpline calls, record them in the tracker and report emerging issues
- Identify barriers preventing beneficiaries from accessing available services
- Translate documents and information materials for project beneficiaries
- Support objective mediation with IOM staff and assist activities at HELIOS+ centres and reception facilities
Role Requirements
- High school degree/certificate with at least one year of relevant work experience
- Previous work experience in a similar role
- Fluency in English or Greek, Arabic and French, written and oral
Desired Criteria
- University degree from an accredited academic institution
- Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
- Valid driver’s license with at least five years of driving experience

- Contract: Special Short term ungraded, up to nine months
