Job Description

IOM seeks a consultant to support Displacement Tracking Matrix flow-monitoring surveys in Greece. The role maintains information on monitoring points, collects GPS data, interviews migrants and refugees using Kobo, coordinates with field stakeholders, and reports findings and operational issues to the DTM Focal Point while applying protection and data-protection principles.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Update information on flow monitoring points
  • Collect GPS points for flow monitoring points when necessary
  • Coordinate data-collection activities with humanitarian and government stakeholders
  • Compile and report information on migrants and refugees arriving in Greece
  • Conduct flow-monitoring surveys using Kobo
  • Apply DTM guidelines and IOM protection principles during interviews
  • Report weekly activities and field issues to the DTM Focal Point
  • Submit monthly reports against the survey target

Role Requirements

  • High school diploma with at least three years of experience or a first-level university degree with at least one year of experience
  • Experience with vulnerable groups and/or migrants
  • Previous experience conducting personal interviews
  • Hands-on experience using MS Office
  • Valid European Union working permit for non-EU candidates
  • Valid category B driving licence

Desired Criteria

  • Advanced university degree in migration, social sciences, anthropology, sociology, humanitarian action or a related field
  • Experience writing reports and documents in English
  • Previous experience with international organizations, NGOs or EU agencies
  • Availability of own car
