Job Description
Delivers interpretation, translation and cultural mediation for IOM’s HELIOS+ integration project in the North Aegean. The interpreter supports beneficiaries from first contact through helpline enquiries and service access, identifies emerging barriers, maintains constructive links with partners and helps IOM teams deliver activities in centres and reception facilities.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Make initial contact with beneficiaries and build respectful, trusting relationships
- Provide interpretation and cultural mediation
- Handle project helpline calls, record them and report new issues to the Project Assistant
- Maintain relations with beneficiaries, stakeholders and humanitarian actors
- Identify gaps and barriers to beneficiaries’ access to services
- Translate information materials and support mediation and project activities at HELIOS+ centres and reception facilities
Role Requirements
- High school degree/certificate with at least one year of relevant work experience
- Previous work experience in a similar role
- Fluency in English, Greek, Arabic and French, written and oral
Desired Criteria
- University degree from an accredited academic institution
- Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
- Valid driver’s license with at least five years of driving experience

- Contract: Special Short term ungraded, up to nine months
